Meet Our Maker: RWeaves
After a massive earthquake in Gujarat in 2001, artisans in Surendranagar needed help for rehabilitation and revival of their dying art of Tangaliya and Patola.
SAATH trained the artisans to build a platform to expand their business and earn revenue to sustain their lives. SAATH Livelihood Services launched the brand ‘Rweaves’ which includes a range of cotton, silk and recycled products like sarees, dupattas, dress materials and rugs.
The programme supports 20+ artisans and markets 80% of their products.
