Manikandan (Mani) HK is a post graduate student of New Media Design in National Institute of Design, India. Born and brought up in South India, he had an early stint with entrepreneurship and funded a personal computer company at the age of 13. He also created another another company at the age of 20, democratizing student opportunities through a crowd sourced online portal.

Mani graduated as an electronics engineer and then went on to work for a year and half in the Education and Research department of Infosys. One of the projects there exposed him to design and changed his life forever. It made Mani move to user experience design in Infosys’s in-house design unit ‘CDG’. From there he joined National Institute of Design in June 2012 to pursue his masters in New Media Design.

Things that happen in the interstitial boundaries of Design, Art and Technology interest him a lot. He loves pizzas, travelling and tinkering with technology.
